Sharp inhale… How amazing is this bag? I am in love. This beautiful bag is designed by Forrest Bound in their Massachusetts studio and ties in perfectly with the industrial/raw materials obsession I am having right now. It would be perfect for a weekend adventure. The design is based on a vintage bag found at a flea market some years previously and has been reinvented in gorgeous sturdy canvas. It also features split leather handles with buckle straps. Its the text on the side that does it for me. Bold, black typography…what’s not to love? You can get the Escape bag from Southwood stores in the UK or from Forest Bound in the US. #NEED

The day has finally arrived… The new season Claire Gaudion delivery is here! I have been SO excited about sharing these geometric beauties with you. For those of you not familiar with the amazingly talented Claire she is a British born textile artist. Her patterns are inspired from the kaleidoscopic landscape of her beloved island Guernsey. I just can’t get enough of her bright, bold and graphic patterns. We already stock her gorgeous scarves in our store, but you all know my heart lies with interiors so the homeware addition to her collection is just too much!. These cushions and new stationary lines are now available to buy on our website. I hope you love them as much as me!

Making Shapes

It’s all about lines! I have been lusting over images of geometric jewellery for some time now on Pinterest and British Vogue magazine. There is just something so amazingly modern about these bold lines, prisms side by side and chunky laser cut deigns.

I was lucky enough to track down some very beautiful pieces at top drawer in January. The two pieces above are from the BAZAAR range from Bohemia Design. Both are available from the SOOuK shop, the ‘chevron trio’ necklace is the perfect way to continue our interiors obsession with chevron! Now we can wear it too!

Extra photography by Susan Burnell for Vidal Sassoon and extra magazine images from British Vogue by Glen Luchford.

Old School

The most affordable ‘it’ bag I’ve ever come across has arrived at studio SOOuK.

These old school satchels are a wonderful classroom memory. They have been around since the 17th century and were revived by Elle magazine in 2006 for a striking editorial on neon bags. It’s a trend that’s just not going to go away, a style that will last centuries and definitely a fashionista staple!

All we need now is this seasons box pleat skirt, a blazer and we are all set! check out our selection at

Graphic Art

These little lovelies from British designer Claire Gaudion arrived this morning along with some very beautiful stationary kindly gifted by Claire. Its always an exciting day when new products arrive and these silk wool scarfs do not disappoint! The stunning geometric patterns are inspired by the dramatic and ever changing Guernsey coastline. Claire’s beautiful designs have been exciting the press recently with pieces included in Elle Decor’s style steal trend watch, The Times fashion pages and winning best new fashion product at Top Drawer. I am very excited about her luxury woven throws which are launching later this year. Can we wait that long?
